The private automobile is by far the most common mode of transportation in the Central New Hampshire region . With fewer alternative transportation choices available and with the sprawling land use, providing alternative transportation options can be very difficult in the Central New Hampshire Region.

One of the major goals of PATH is to change people’s perception in regards to public transportation. Most of the transit services provided in the area is intended to be on a by need only basis. It became apparent in many studies that numerous transit providers serve unique populations. A list of transit providers’ services in the Central NH region was developed with the objective to serve and inform the public regarding existing transportation services in the different locations along the Central NH region.
The central NH region also offers a local fix route service, an intra-regional and intra-state transit service. PATH will strong support the work of the existing transit providers’ services as well as supporting any improvement transit efforts to reduce the number of single occupant vehicles in our road network system in the Central NH region.
